The VNA Care Network Foundation honored Dr. Gene Lindsey, President and CEO of Atrius Health, with the Continuing the Tradition of Caring Award at their recent annual meeting.

This award was established in 1997 to honor an individual or group whose contributions support the fulfillment of VNA Care Network & Hospice’s mission of providing the highest quality of care to enable patients to remain as safe and healthy as possible in the comfort of their home.

“Dr. Lindsey’s vision for the future of patient-centric, coordinated care is changing the health care industry in Massachusetts and influencing the work of others throughout the country”, said Frederick Jamieson, Second Vice Chair of the VNA Care Network Foundation Board of Directors. “Dr. Lindsey recognized the vital role VNA Care Network & Hospice plays in reducing health care costs, providing for successful transitions in care and improving patient outcomes.”

VNA Care Network & Hospice (VNACNH) became the seventh affiliate of Atrius Health on February 1, 2013. VNACNH joined the six medical groups of Atrius Health (Dedham Medical Associates, Granite Medical Group, Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, Reliant Medical Group, South Shore Medical Center, and Southboro Medical Group).
